Patients must be in current treatment for a cancer diagnosis and have an annual household income of less than $55,000 for family or $35,000 for single.
Residents of Ulster County (regardless of the medical facility where they currently receive treatment), and also residents of neighboring Mid-Hudson Valley Counties (receiving treatment within Ulster County) are eligible to apply.
Once qualified, gift cards to Hannaford Supermarkets to purchase nutritious food and/or fuel cards to Stewart’s Shops to help cover the cost of transportation to treatment are provided. $500 per calendar year is available to each patient.
Please contact Bernadette Rexford at the Benedictine Health Foundation at (845) 481-1303 to receive an application or download the application here:
Your generous donation means the world to a patient diagnosed with cancer and their family. It allows them to focus on their physical and emotional well-being while receiving arduous treatments.
You help provide patients with a healthy meal. For some recipients, it is the first time they can afford to shop for and select nutritional food they love; an experience many of us take for granted each day.
You help cover the cost of transportation so patients can access cancer treatment; this can be a round trip distance of over 100 miles a day for patients living in rural areas.
Your gift enables patients diagnosed with cancer to focus on their health, getting stronger, and healing.
Your donation stays in our local, Mid-Hudson Valley Community. We thank each and every one of you for allowing us the privilege to help your neighbors, family, and friends through this difficult journey.
